With close to 45 years’ experience in civil engineering and project management, both in the UK and in Europe, Geoff is currently the lead for BakerHicks’ largest public sector projects including those focused on public health. As our resident expert on health and safety, he is responsible for the CDM team and also leads on operational matters including contract reviews and day-to-day troubleshooting across the teams.
Geoff ensures project quality is second to none, and as a recognised expert in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical projects he is no stranger to managing complex projects, always with sustainability at the heart of the design.
My journey with the business started back in 1977 when it was badged as the IDC Group. My first project as senior civil engineer was for the expansion of the cosmetics manufacturing facilities for L'Oréal in Llantrisant.
Nearly 45 years later, I’m still here having worked as an engineer, group manager, project manager and company director on a huge range of both design only and design and build projects in the UK and mainland Europe. It’s wholly inspiring to see how the company is still evolving and growing, and the current period is already becoming another chapter in our history that we’ll look back on with pride.
